What Makes Your Business Different?

Hello, I’m Janelle Petyon, the CEO and Managing Partner of Peyton Law.

Today I’d like to ask you “What makes your business different?” There’s something that makes you different – there’s something that makes your customers choose you over all of the other companies that sell what you sell or provide the services that you provide.

The reason I’m asking is because I recently had a client where we were going through just some general business matters with her and we recognized that she had a proprietary pricing model –  a trade secret for sure.

So we went in and make sure that it was a little bit protected. It didn’t cost a lot in legal fees (there was no paperwork, no documentation involved) but what it did was, it helped her point it out to her clients or her perspective clients. A nd when she let them know about this proprietary model that she had (not giving them the information on how it worked, just that she had it, and that she used it to their benefit); they would sign up and her closing rate increase dramatically.

So sometimes just recognizing what it is that makes you different, and putting it forward and putting it out there, makes a world of difference to your business. So i’d love to hear if there’s something that you do different that is proprietary or a trade secret (ne need to tell me the details), but if there’s something that makes you special or makes your company different, feel free to share it  – I’d love to hear about it and get to know you a little bit better.
